Born and raised in the tiny town of Start, Louisiana, Leah went to school just like many.
In school, college and graduate school, choosing subjects such as Art, Design & Printing as her main focus.
Currently, she is the Studio Manager of a family owned print shop, here in Brooklyn, where she gets to put all of her skills to use.
She gets to spend all day thinking about colors, ink and paper.
By night she prints fabric for a local family owned fabric shop in Manhattan.
There she gets to be surrounded by all sorts of fabulous fabrics and colors.
She has many sorts of talents.
Digital art: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
New Age Print: digital printing
Traditional Print making: lithography, etching, woodblocks, and letterpress, screen printing
Leah is excellent at problem solving and thinking outside of the box.
Sometimes ideas just fly right out of her ears.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with other kind souls,
especially to talk about culture(s), music, movies, dance, history, puppets, jokes or the cruciferous nature of green leafy vegetables.
But she also enjoys time alone to draw, paint, make books, costumes, cook good food, and travel.
Two things she can't live without : coffee and fizzy water.
She lives with her cat named Kitty in Brooklyn, New York.
